TS Support Group Meeting Play Time!

After our Support Group Meeting we spend about 20 minutes or more playing games with the kids so they can let out some of their energy before getting into the car for the ride home. Here Kenny is giving instructions to the kids on the next activity.

Idlewild Bowl

One of the best pieces of advice I could give to parents of a child dealing with TS, is to surround your child with good people. Here we are celebrating Kenny's 16th Birthday with a good old fashion game of Flag Football to include his friends from church, Young Life, school, Scouts, his football team,  neighbors and family.

Life Center South Youth Retreat

Kenny getting ready to go on his first Youth Group Retreat with our church Life Center South. Kenny has been blessed with great friends and leaders from our church who have played a big part in Kenny's journey in dealing with his TS.

Happy Sweet 16 Birthday Kenny!

Happy Sweet Sixteen Kenny! Dropped Kenny off at school today and told him that I will bring him his favorite Subway sandwich to school later for his lunch. I also mentioned that I would even deliver it with a special Birthday song and dance . He immediately responded "I will pay you 5 bucks not to do that!" Love this kid!

TS Kids Day Out - Laser Tag!

More Filming!

Kenny being interviewed one on one for the documentary.
Kenny, Cody and I with the wonderful lady who made this all possible - Pamela Curnel, my Director of the Mrs. Washington America Pageant. I am so grateful for the doors that have opened up and the healing that has taken place in my family as a result of my involvement with the pageant and winning the title of Mrs. Washington 2010. It has really helped make a difference in reaching more people while promoting TS Awareness.

Kenny and I with Mrs. Calahan - Kenny's 4th grade teacher who held our hand while dealing with Kenny's TS diagnosis when the symptoms first appeared in her classroom. Kenny thought it was only fitting to film this documentary where his journey first started. What a blessing Mrs. Calahan is to our family!

Lakes Football Awards Banquet

Lakes Lancers Awards Football Banquet 2013 - Kenny was awarded the Outstanding Scholastic Award & Scholar Athlete Award tonight! So proud of him!

Football - Reclaiming Territory!

This was taken after one of Kenny's football games. (Cody loved cheering on his big brother!) To see Kenny in this football uniform you is a HUGE sign of his recovery in reclaiming territory in his life. Kenny wanted to play football in Middle School, but because of his anxiety attacks and depression associated with his TS diagnosis he was too afraid. Thank you Lord for healing!

Kenny becomes a Man!

Now this was a BIG DEAL! Kenny became a man today (according to him ;)) when he managed to shoot his first Turkey with one shot - matter of fact it was the only shot he took while Turkey hunting this season. Even though he has TS, he managed to sneak up on this Turkey, stay still and take one shot hitting the Turkey right between the eyes! Amazing!
